Learn How to Save Your Seeds

Jan 09, 2024

By Door County Pulse, Peninsula Pulse – May 11th, 2023

Award-winning author, seed saver and educator Bevin Cohen will present the basics of garden planning and planting for successful vegetable-seed harvesting May 17, 6:30-8 pm, at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. The workshop is appropriate for both beginners and experienced seed savers.

Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for the Door County Seed Library's 2023 Seed Steward Program to help preserve Ken Paschke beans, a bred-in-Door County variety. Through this program, volunteers will grow these seeds, save them and donate a portion back to the seed library.
